Curriculum

The school has classes from Pre KG to Std X. CBSE syllabus is followed from Std I to X. The medium of instruction is English. The school follows trilanguage system from Std I to VIII ie, English as the first language, Tamil or Malayalam as the second language and Hindi as the third language. From Std IX onwards the students can opt Malayalam, Tamil or Hindi as their second language.

Higher secondary classes (XI, XII) are also being run based on State syllabus. Subjects offered are

Group I                 -  Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.

Group II               -   Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

Group III              -   Physics, Chemistry, Botany  and Zoology.

Group IV              -   Commerce, Accountancy, Economics & Computer Science

About NVKS Higher Secondary School

The N.V.K.S.Hr.Sec. School is the first CBSE affiliated school in the Kanyakumari District. It was established in 1974 by the N.V.K.S. Educational Society as a model school for the N.V.K.S.D. College of Education at Attoor.
